Key Cucine with the prestigious firm of architect Carola Vannini

Key Cucine among the protagonists for a full elegance project created by the Roman firm of Carola Vannini. Together, Key Cucine and Carola Vannini have completed ambitious contracts that are the result of combining expert design capabilities with a style that is always new and creative.

In Rome Penthouse the attention to detail stands out, together with the interest in combining functional components with a unique, elegant design. The project for a large attic in the heart of Rome, in fact aims at all-round renewal, not only of the interior furnishings but also in terms of a genuine reconfiguration of space. This space has been expanded here to give the whole apartment a contemporary style, while keeping it warm and welcoming.

The undisputed feature of the whole architectural design is the living area. This large space, with multiple perspectives and different levels, is divided into two living rooms that communicate through doorways recessed into the walls, emphasised by their wooden surround.
The whole space is dominated by a particular floating staircase, made in iron and faced in wood, which creates a link between the entrance hallway and the living room. 
Even the walls embody the soul of the project, which aims to create a compelling space with unique features. The textured plasterwork is also in warm tones, enhanced with embossed decorations added by hand. 

A frosted glass sliding door opens onto the kitchen, where the colours and materials have been conceived to work in perfect harmony with the rest of the living space. 
The layout shows the linchpin characteristics of Key Cucine: attention to detail, dedicated research into materials and tailoring of every component in line with the client’s needs. In this case, the instructions of architect Carola Vannini and her staff were the starting point: Key was able to create not only a unique, luxury kitchen but a kitchen that pairs seamlessly with its surroundings, as well as with the concept of the whole house. Featuring a large central island, the kitchen has a top in polished stoneware reminiscent of Carrara marble that contrasts with the wooden floor, while the doors, which coordinate with the columns, are made using liquid metal in iridescent grey that changes colour according to the light. The induction top is separated from the sink - also in polished stoneware - using the seating area and a storage area. The column area is balanced by the presence of a large double-door refrigerator placed precisely in centre of the block and aligned with the island, giving the whole layout its perfect sense of order.
