Architecture Tales – Act Three, Crosara Residence
In the third act of the “Architecture Tales” Key Cucine tells a happy union between an architect and a chef: the project, signed by Martina Negrini, is about Chef Diego Crosara’s villa, immersed in the green, residential area of Altavilla Vicentina. A functional and contemporary house with an essential structure, characterized by wide volumes and large windows which provide space and light.
The kitchen is the absolute protagonist of the living area: simple and rigorous, it follows the general essentiality of the entire house and is harmoniously integrated into the surrounding environment.
Pure expression of the “made to measure”, with fully customized shapes and materials, this realization of Key Cucine is conceived on two main areas that dominate the setting.
The first one is the island, which stands over the surrounding space and is made of a "scratched" steel top, vintage effect, 6 mm thick, in bold combination with the materiality of the wooden base and in continuity with the parquet floor. Particular mention should also be made of the hood flush plan, totally retractable.
Another significant area is represented by the multifunctional columns, which totally enclose the operative part of the kitchen and are characterized by a lacquered finish with a “soft touch” velvety effect, in attractive combination with the stoneware shelves.
Thanks to a wide availability of innovative materials, Key Cucine was able to support the professional and enhanced her project by creating harmonious combinations even between completely different elements like steel and wood.
Born in Vicenza on the 30th of July, 1976, Martina Negrini got her degree at the IUAV of Venice in 2002. Soon afterwards she moved to Milan, where she worked until 2004, focusing on interior design. Once back in Vicenza, she collaborated with some prestigious architecture studios, and then she started her own business, dealing both with renovations and new buildings. She focuses especially on the residential area and follows the whole project as works director, supporting her clients in all aspects related to the choice of materials, finishes and furniture - mostly tailored - made to design.
